The Deep Reaction Ion Etching (DRIE) Area is a vital part of our production in MEMS-manufacturing, where the main focus is removing Silicon in a controlled way to create the structures of the MEMS-device. The DRIE systems utilizes RF-power to produce a plasma to create ions that are used to remove Silicon.

About the role

Your primary duties will include:

• Develop and optimize etching processes for MEMS manufacturing.
• Perform process characterization, troubleshooting, and optimization to meet quality and performance requirements.
• Manage development batches and handle production stoppages.
• Provide technical support and expertise to quickly resolve process-related issues.
• Work with the internal service team at Silex as well as with suppliers to ensure equipment stability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure customer requirements and delivery targets are met.

We are looking for someone who have:

• M.Sc in Engineering, Physics or a similar field.

• Written and verbal fluency in English.
• Experience with MEMS or CMOS manufacturing.

• A great eye for detail and structure to be able document test plans, test cases and results.

• Ability to communicate effectively with other engineers, product development teams and stakeholders.

It is also beneficial if you:

• Have experience working in a clean room environment
